MEASURES FOR WASTE WATER TREATMENT

Domestic waste water is disposed of after being used for community activities such as bathing, cleaning, etc. It is discharged from agencies, schools, hospitals, homestays.

Domestic wastewater is often discharged into rivers, streams, ponds, lakes, etc., which lead to water pollution. The common consequence of water pollution is the increasing incidence of chronic and acute illnesses associated with water pollution such as conjunctivitis, diarrhea, cancer. People living around polluted areas are increasingly suffering from many types of suspected diseases, which are caused by the use of dirty water in all activities. In addition, water pollution also causes great losses for the production and business sectors, aquaculture households.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT METHODS:
1. Waste water treatment by anaerobic method
Process technology consists of four main stages, including: collection, conditioning, anaerobic treatment in modules, odor handling and settling. Accordingly, wastewater is taken to the collection tank; then pumped into the air tank, to precipitate deposits; and then injected into anaerobic modules containing polyethylene-bearing microorganisms via an auxiliary stirrer system and placed in a subsequent settling tank for odor treatment, in combination with sedimentation. After the treatment process, organic wastewater meets environmental standards.
However, the aerobic method only treats wastewater with low levels of pollution, high operating costs and generates more sludge. For anaerobic treatment, it takes a long time, not active in water temperature, microbial content, water after treatment still smell.
In order to overcome the disadvantages of aerobic and anaerobic wastewater treatment technologies mentioned above, the process of wastewater treatment of organic wastes by anaerobic method .
2. Wastewater treatment by natural recirculation method:
The natural wastewater treatment system is based on the principle of the activity of microorganisms available to decompose organic compounds as well as the physical and chemical processes similar to those occurring in Natural to clean wastewater. The system is capable of efficiently treating decomposing organic pollutants, nitrogen compounds, phosphorus, surfactants, bacteria, suspended solids, colors and odors in wastewater.
3. Waste water treatment with activated charcoal powder:
Activated charcoal powder and wastewater (usually wastewater after biological treatment) are placed in a contact tank. After a certain period the activated carbon powder is either sedimented or filtered. Due to the fact that activated carbon is very fine, it is necessary to use additional polyelectrolyte deposition agents. Activated charcoal powder is also added to aerosols to remove organic matter dissolved in the wastewater. Activated charcoal after use is often recycled for reuse, an effective way to recycle activated charcoal has not been found, for activated charcoal granulated in the furnace to oxidize the 10% of organic matter attaches to their surface, during the regeneration of 5 coal is destroyed and must be replaced with new particles.
4. Waste water treatment by clay, straw, husk, coconut, rice bran, engym ...
+ By clay:
Le Ngoc Ninh, a master of clay, worked at Phuc Yen Industrial College, Vinh Phuc, for the production of odor, colorants and water pollution materials called Kabenlis. .
Kabenlis is a mixture of kaolin clay with a catalyst of foxes - a mixture of seawater or salt with a CaO content prepared in a certain proportion.
Kabenlis is rich in SiO2, Al2O3, MgO, which is the basic constituent of the core gel, which attracts metal ions and suspended solids. This compound is benign, does not affect aquatic animals. Polluted water treated through Kabenlis will become clear, odorless, and maintain normal life for aquatic animals.
The process of treating polluted water with this substance is very simple, just dissolving it in water. Kabenlis is cheap, 1kg Kabenlis costs between 500 and 1,000 dong.
+ Chromium treatment in straw wastewater:
The waste of agricultural products is rice straw, student Tran Thi Kieu Chinh, Department of Chemistry of Quy Nhon University of Education, Binh Dinh, has successfully implemented the topic of scientific research: "Probe probability chromium in straw wastewater ". As a heavy metal element in waste water, chromium and its compounds are toxic, especially high oxidation compounds such as chromates, biromat, etc. So the original purpose of the topic It is intended to treat these wastes with natural materials and, if high efficiency, can be applied in practice.
According to the author, straw is the agricultural residue that is very close to the farmer. There is so much in the agricultural land that most of them have a simple use of cooking. We have completed the solution of chromium treatment, eliminating the toxicity of this element in waste water. By analyzing the chemical composition of rice straw, it was shown that the main ingredient of rice straw was cellulose.
